Bin Night Tonight Councils Coverage Guides About Privacy Contact

We want to hear from you

Bin Night Tonight is built and maintained by a small team. Real feedback from real users is the single most useful thing for shaping where the project goes next. Whether something is broken, your council is missing, or you've got an idea that would make the service more useful, we'd genuinely like to know.

Use the contact form below (rendered on this page once the site loads) to send us a message. We read everything that comes in and respond to anything that needs a reply.

What to include in a bug report

If something isn't working the way you expected, the more detail you can give the faster we can fix it. Please try to include:

  • What you were trying to do. ("I searched for my address in Werribee and...")
  • What actually happened. ("...the page showed a spinner that never stopped.")
  • What device and browser you were using. (iPhone Safari, Android Chrome, Windows Firefox, etc.)
  • The address or general suburb. Please don't send a full street address if you'd rather not; just the suburb is usually enough.

If you can attach a screenshot, even better. We can usually reproduce and patch most issues within a few days of a clear report.

Requesting a new council

If your council isn't in the coverage list, the most common reason is that the council doesn't yet expose a public address-lookup tool we can query. We'd still like to know you're waiting for it: a steady trickle of "please add my council" notes is what tells us where to focus next.

When you send a request, please include the council name (not just the suburb) and a link to your council's waste-collection page if you've found it. That saves us a step.

Reporting an incorrect schedule

Bin schedules occasionally show the wrong day, usually because a public holiday adjustment hasn't propagated through the council's system or because the council changed a collection zone recently. If you spot a mismatch between what the site shows and what your council's own website says, please let us know.

Include the suburb, the bin type that's wrong, and what the council's website says instead. We'll investigate and either fix the data on our side or report it back to the council if the issue is theirs.

Ad complaints, privacy questions, and legal notices

For complaints about specific ads, see the terms of service; we'll forward them to Google AdSense. For privacy questions, the privacy policy covers most cases, but you're welcome to ask via the contact form for anything not addressed there.
